All Oprah... All the Time!

As many of you have likely heard, Oprah announced last week she is ending her afternoon talk show.  After 25 years, the queen of daytime syndication will pull the plug on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011.  But before you panic, don’t think Oprah is getting out of the television business.  Quite the opposite.  Instead, she is starting her own cable network.  OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) will begin life in January of the same year.  A joint venture between Oprah and Discovery Communications, the cable outlet should be available in about 75 million homes.

This also means there’s going to be a need for a whole lot of new programming.  Many believe Oprah will launch a revamped version of her show on OWN.  But that will only solve one hour of the day.  In an effort to fill the other 23, Media Mischief offers up the following suggestions for new programming for the Oprah Winfrey Network.
